Glass Ceiling is a game about gender in the workplace.

Welcome to Megacorp!

Your goal is simple: you want your Employees to achieve as much as possible before they make their Exit (into another position, into another company, or otherwise – it’s up to you!).

Along the way, your Employees will encounter situations that will affect them greatly. Someone might use their fraternity connections to get a spot on a job you want. Someone might be asked by HR to change their clothes. And someone might experience sexual harassment during a late shift at work.

Though it has the appearance of a fun game, Glass Ceiling digs deep into the stories of people’s experiences at work as a result of their gender. It’s meant to provoke thoughtful discussion and discomfort.

These Employees’ fates are in your hands. It’s up to you to get them through it.

Make

Here's how to make it:

Print out the PDF of the cards on sturdy cardstock. Make sure you're printing double-sided with the long edge!

1.

Using a paper cutter, cut out the cards very carefully. Take your time with this step, as it can make or break your deck!

2.

Using a 3/8-inch hole punch (we used this one!), punch out all blank black circles from the Modifiers (black cards).

3.

For extra detail, print out this box design on sticker paper and dress up a 4-inch square box (we use this one).

4.

Don't forget to print out the instructions on copy paper!

When we both listen and celebrate what is both common and different,

we become a wiser, more inclusive, and better organization.
